This website - [ newrbg.com ] was established in January 2018, the original purpose was established for [ New RBG ] promotion. The R.B.G can be the abbreviation of primary colors [ Red Blue Green ] in color TV, and it's can be the abbreviation of [ Rubber Band Gun ] too. The website was created with [ Google G-Suit ], before the website was established, I have to purchase a Domain Name ( web address ) from a [ Domain Name Registrar ] named Go-Daddy, and inquire about whether the domain ( web address ) existed or not. There were [ newrbg.com ] , [ newrbg.com.tw ] , [ newrbg.net ] , [ newrbg.net.tw ] available, finally I chose [ newrbg.com ] for my website, because it's shorter and ease to remember.

There were 4 versions of web pages on this website, Traditional Chinese, Simple Chinese, Japanese and English. The original content mainly related [ New RBG ] such as [ Origin ], [ Theory ] and [ Q&A ] . Later I added more articles in it, such as [ Traditional Culture ], [ History ], [ Nostalgia ] and [ Electrical Knowledge ] etc. Welcome to visit my website, you'll see much of new knowledge there and all free.

About the author

I was born in 1954 in a rural Tainan County, Taiwan. By 1968, I went to R.O.C Army Signal School, learning military radio set maintenance. We also learned TV set theory there. Most of radio equipment and televisions were made of electron tubes at the time. Two years later, I was assigned to an air defense missile site in northern Taiwan and became a signalman and radio set technician for 8 years. Then I left the Army in 1979 as a Master-sergeant and soon got a job at Taiwan Sanyo Company as an electrical serviceman because of my profession. I was there for 12 years; my jobs were serviceman, service station master, then technicians training chief.

In the 1980, color TV were new on the Taiwan markets, TV repairman was a great job, the radio cassette tape recoders were new on the markets, then Camcoder, VCR, LD, CD, and DVD electronic AV (audio video) products had emerged in markets; we also service air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines. It was a three-decade golden age for electrical technicians; many people learned electrical skills at extension classes, such as TV, VCR, and refrigeration classes. Before leaving Sanyo Company, I had taught a VCR class at the YMCA for a year. I left Sanyo Company and ran my electrical store in 1990. But something changed after years later. Electron technology advanced fast and fast, solid digital products replaced most AV machines gradually, and people would choose to buy a new product rather than repair them because products were cheaper and had better performance than before. Today, all the functions of elecetronic AV products put in a tiny smartphone. And most the electronic products were developed in Japan befor 1990s, no wonder Japanese GDP was decline in the recent decades, my business life went through the same route too.

Then shopping malls, chain stores, and internet sales went into markets, and traditional electrical stores lost their competition. I am getting old, and my fitness is weakening gradually; plus, children have no wish to inherit, so I think it's time to retire. I always guess it's the best arrangement of God; I lost wealth but earned more time for learning, writing (note), sporting, and spending more time with my family.
